Yin Yoga is slow and meditative. If you like deep stretches and lots of relaxation then this is the practice to try. Yin Yoga works on the fascia rather than the muscles so the postures are held much longer than in a normal yoga class. You need to be effortless too so props such as pillows, cushions, blankets and bolsters are quite often used. Its roots are Chinese so expect lots of emphasis on meridian lines and acupressure points.
