Description
Build A Shrine Workshop
July 4th 2026, 1000 to 1500, Tewin Memorial Hall
Join Rony and Suzanne for a journey through yoga, sound, and meditation, to allow you to connect with yourself in a creative way and produce a personal shrine.
Shrines and altars are places of quiet reflection and worship for either home or garden that celebrate ancestors, loved ones, deities, nature, spiritual masters, and blessings. Used worldwide and by every religion, they provide divinity and peace in a world increasingly tied to tech. They are places to reflect on your past, to celebrate who you are and express gratitude for what’s important to you, to re-frame your life, to connect to spirit, to invite the guidance of ancestors and deities, and to ask for blessings such as health, protection, love, wealth or enlightenment.
In this Build a Shrine Workshop, we’ll provide:
- Lunch
- The nicho (box)
- Art supplies
- Candles & other shrine items
- Ideas, inspiration, yoga, meditation, sound and fun
You should bring:
- A yoga mat, blanket & cushion
- Items you’d like to incorporate into your shrine (photos, quotes, figures, crystals, stones etc)
- Manifestations and intentions
You’ll leave with a nicho (boxed shrine) that you can hang or place on the floor or a chest, something you can build on, something beautiful to lift you above the mundane.
You can choose any style or focus for your shrine – we can print old photographs, quotes, spiritual icons on stickers etc before the workshop if you like.
