News August 2020
August is traditionally a quieter time for our classes with people being away and wanting to spend more time outside in the sunshine. This year, with our online classes, this hasn’t been the case. People can log in and do a class from holiday or from their garden. We have been thrilled that our classes have been followed from Spain to Orkney. And we love seeing those of you that can, practice outside. Keep sending your photos!
Dogs also seem to like our online classes. Whether it’s Qigong or Yin Yoga, the hounds want in. We have received wonderful tales of dogs meditating. Surprisingly downward facing dog is not a canine favourite, Savasana reigns supreme.
Moving forward, we have decided that for the moment the Wednesday morning Kundalini class, Thursday evening Yin Yoga class and Friday morning breath meditation will all continue online. We continue to monitor the guidelines and the news in order to make a decision about Monday’s Qigong and Tuesday’s Kundalini. If we are able to safely bring those classes back in person, it will not be before September. Numbers will also need to be drastically reduced so both classes will have to be streamed live as well. So, in essence, whatever happens all of our current classes will be accessible online for the foreseeable future.
Our Class Archive on the website now has over 100 recordings of yoga, Qigong, meditation, breath and even gong. If you haven’t yet checked it out, please get in touch and we can arrange a short trial membership for you.
For any of you wishing to learn Tai Chi Fan Form, you’ll find the first two installments on the Class Archive. Alex is able to provide you with a fan for a very reasonable price,
As we start to head towards Autumn, we will be expanding what we offer. I (Suzanne) have just qualified as a breath coach with Oxygen Advantage and as well as offering private breath coaching, will be setting up a new breath focused class for those with breathing pattern disorders. I am also in the final stages of qualifying as a TRE practitioner (tension release). If you would like to volunteer for a free session to help me qualify please get in touch. Once qualified, I will be offering a weekly drop-in TRE group online. A new 6 week meditation course also comes online in late September, teaching 6 different styles of meditation so you can see which one suits you best. There are almost as many ways of meditating as there are meals to eat so it doesn’t need to be one size fits all.
In September we are running a Level 1 Gong Training Course at the Light Centre in Central London. Places are strictly limited so we can remain Covid 19 compliant. For more information, click here, If you want to book on be quick as spaces are filling up fast.
Thank you all so much for continuing to support our classes – as a small business, your support is priceless. We wish you all continued good health, contentment and good fortune during these turbulent times.
