“I have been attending Suzanne’s Kundalini classes now for a few years and cannot recommend them highly enough. When my previous yoga teacher retired I searched around and tried several different classes looking for a class that I could really enjoy and a teacher I felt comfortable with. I count myself extraordinarily lucky that someone recommended Suzanne and that I was able to join her Kundalini class.
Suzanne is a very special person – she is a natural and gifted teacher, kind, warm-hearted and immensely knowledgeable. The classes are different each week, but Suzanne always explains things clearly before and during the class. I feel that she creates a wonderfully calm atmosphere which makes me feel comfortable and safe. I always leave the classes feeling better physically and mentally.
This has never been more true or more needed since the lockdown earlier this year and all the confusion and fear surrounding it. Suzanne quickly made her classes available online and this has been my saviour. Every Wednesday, I have been able to spend 90 minutes enjoying Suzanne’s calming but inspiring classes from the comfort and security of home and they truly have become a haven of peace for me. However I signed up for the online classes and can’t speak highly enough of them. The 4 week package is brilliant as it gives access to all the classes and if you can’t make any live you have the option to catch up at any time with the archived recordings. It’s such great value too. I am now enjoying Kundalini, Yin and Qigong. Both Suzanne and Alex are wonderful, inspiring instructors and run the zoom classes so well it still feels as if they are in the room! The instructions are clear and easy to follow and I now love doing the classes at home. I have turned one room into my little yoga retreat and so look forward to every class. “Since moving my exercise practices online I find both Suzanne and Alex to be naturally engaging teachers. The zoom environment now feels a very safe, encouraging space to practice and engage well with the teaching. The movements are easy to see, the tone of encouragement/challenge just right to keep me focused. It really does feel like Suzanne is in the room with me. Her presence is just as reassuring, calming and supportive as it was in real life.
When I moved away from Hertfordshire I was sad to leave Suzanne’s Kundalini yoga classes which had been a hugely beneficial, positive influence to my physical and mental health since 2014. When lockdown struck, the ability to step back in via zoom seemed too good to be true. It was amazing to have Suzanne’s warm energy back in my life. Taking up the offer of a monthly ‘pass’ meant I could experience the beautifully serene yin yoga too as well as the flowing, gentle Qi-gong presented by her partner Alex. Now my life and my week is well balanced even in these trying times.
For me, Kundalini is a passion so the Wednesday class fits well and when I can’t ‘attend’ at the time I use my membership on the Babacool website to access the class later in the day. Suzanne is a gifted teacher, an ambassador for well-being, her approach is wise and grounded. There is challenge, there is sweat, there is also peace and fulfillment. The classes offer a place of community with connection to yoga, to self, to the spiritual and to Suzanne.

“Having mobility and health issues, I’d also been looking for gentle exercise that would work with the limitations of my body, and so moved on to Alex’s T’ai Chi Qigong classes, first in person and then the online versions.
Once again the experience has been one of a devoted instructor, caring for the mind, spirit and body, all at the same time. He infuses his classes with attention to detail, working within your own boundaries on any given day, with sound therapy in various forms, and with sound scientific knowledge and information, including visual aids demonstrating what is happening when you use the movements, all so that you can more clearly understand the nature and impact of the exercise…which you can then take forward in your own quest for good health. I call that special…and devoted.
I have never, ever felt cheated by the online version. It affords the means of guided practice according to my schedule, and the range of sessions available grows each week for variety. I can join live for a genuine and real connection with both Alex and other participants, and which works very well via their zoom platform, but I often forget that it isn’t live when I use the recorded version, so the connection is still there.

“I first came to know them through a live Gong Bath. The experience was to fundamentally change my perspective on the impact of sound on our minds and bodies. To put a complex experience simply: the benefits were physical, emotional and spiritual. Explaining it might be impossible, so all I can say is DO try it for yourself. Live sessions are obviously best, but what they have accomplished in capturing the range of sound in a studio for online use is a very good second place indeed. I have not felt cheated in experiencing their recordings of gong baths during lockdown and shielding, just simple gratitude that they have bent their energies toward making such an excellent result possible.”

“I found Babacool online and signed up for their 1 day course. I have to say I feel this course is fairly priced, the location is central and covid friendly. They had a great variety of gongs to play and equally varied mallets and flumies to try. I came away feeling filled with confidence, direction and knowledge. “I have been practicing Yoga and Taichi Qigong with Babacool for a long time and I can’t recommend them enough. Their classes are very engaging and suitable for all levels. Since the lockdown started all the classes have been online and this has been a great opportunity for me to practice with Suzanne and Alex almost every day. This has really helped me and my mental health massively at a time of so much uncertainty. I especially enjoy the live classes as it’s an opportunity to put everything I’m doing on hold and focus on myself for the duration of the class. However, life can get very hectic and sometimes I’m unable to join the live classes. On those occasions, I’m very happy to have an archive full of classes and resources for me to choose from depending on my mood or the time I have available.
Suzanne and Alex are also great supporters of a charity I co-run called Potential Kids www.potentialkids.org. PK it’s a local and small charity in Hertfordshire, England that provides social, learning and sports opportunities to neurodiverse children & young people (Autism, ADHD, Tourettes, Dyspraxia, Dyslexia..) and their families. In the past, Suzanne and Alex have run successful wellbeing sessions (Taichi Qigong, Breathing Meditation & Gongs) for our parent/carers which have been very a great success and a fantastic way for the charity to support their mental health. Caring for disabled children can take a toll in these parents’ mental health and we’re always grateful for Babacool’s support to ease that burden. Since the lockdown started, we realised our parent/carers would need extra support to look after themselves so we asked Suzanne to runs an online weekly Yoga & Relaxation class for us. It’s lovely to be able to offer this class to our parents so they can recharge their batteries at least once a week. The class is also available online afterwards which is great because this way more of our parent/carers can access it when it’s convenient for them.
On a personal level I’m extremely grateful that Babacool has continued to offer their classes online since the lockdown started, it’s really helped and kept me sane in an extremely difficult year.

“Having joined Kundalini classes run by Babacool over 5 years ago, which of course were run prior to the Covid 19 lockdown in group sessions, it was important that classes continued and were set up by Suzanne and Alex to work via Zoom.
The way these classes were set up was impressive. All classes were informative and the benefits they had on your body were made clear. The classes run using Zoom were straight forward and did not require complicated computer knowledge.
The weekly classes I attended covered Kundalini yoga, Yin yoga, Qigong and Meditation-breathing techniques. The Qigong classes run by Alex were a new experience. These classes were especially enjoyable and were important in improving flexibility and general fitness.
As with the Qigong classes run by Alex the classes run by Suzanne were equally enjoyable and beneficial. I come out of the Kundalini Yoga, Yin Yoga and learning Meditation-breathing Techniques feeling relaxed and feeling that it improved my overall health.
At this time when a lot of people are dealing with problems arising from the impact of Covid 19, the classes run by Suzanne and Alex could provide important benefits to relax and cope with problems.”
